I was born in Belgrade, Serbia.  Since my childhood, I was surrounded by science, nature and knowledge.   My grandfather was a Professor at the University of Agriculture in Belgrade and a Research Scientist in the field of plant virology.  He was always a scientific inspiration for me.  When I was three years old my parents decided to move abroad.  We lived in Brussels until I was 11, and then moved to Geneva.  By following life sciences classes, I decided to become a Research Scientist in the field of Natural Sciences.

I studied biochemistry at the Faculty of Sciences in Geneva, Switzerland.  After obtaining my PhD in Life Sciences at the University of Lausanne, I performed my Postdoctoral studies in the field of diabetes at Harvard Medical School and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.  Today, I live in Geneva.  I currently work in the field of clinical trialsWith my work, I hope to have a good impact on patients health and quality of life.  I speak French, English, Serbian and a little bit of German as well.

Besides research, I am interested in promotion of science, public health, scientific communication, entrepreneurship and innovation in the biomedical area.  I enjoy writing and popularizing science and have been writing since my studies in biochemistry to promote the role of science in the society and educate people outside this field.
